We invite students of all levels at Free Spirit Yoga, with our main focus being Anusara Yoga.
Anusara has therapeutic applications and is a wonderful practice for those dealing with injuries
or physical limitations. Anusara also provides the alignment and foundation you need to take your yoga
practice to the next level. Yoga meets you where you are, and our aim at Free Spirit Yoga is to do just that.
Can Yoga Improve my performance as an athlete?
Yoga is ideal to compliment any athletic training. Yoga alone is one of
the most complete forms of exercise. It is actually considered a life
science. Yoga systemically stretches and strengthens the muscles.
Relaxed and elongated muscles are more conducive to training.
Yoga teaches you to be aware of your body and the signals it
is sending you, thus helping to prevent injury during athletic
training. Yoga also helps you to develop awareness of the breath.
Proper breathing techniques can increase the oxygen capacity and
calm the mind.

for postures due to health concerns. Free Spirit Yoga also teaches you
to be in tune with your body and respectful of your limitations so you
