Sun Salutations

In my minds eye I can see
The warm sun is shining on me
With my breath my body flows
Forward bending I touch my toes
I open my heart backward bending
I am moving without ending

Flower

I am delicate and free
Swaying in the breeze
I lift my chest up high
I am beautiful inside
I open my petals to the sun
I am having a lot of fun

Lotus

My legs are folded on my thighs
My spine is tall and I close my eyes
Looking inside I can see
My inner teacher inside of me
A lotus flower I grew
To see all that is true

Mouse

Quiet as a mouse
Curled alone in a house
I close my eyes
Relax my thighs
My breath is soft within
A place where only I have been

Bird

Free as a bird up high
I spread my wings and glide
Perched on my toes I stand
My arms to my sides still fanned
Sweetly I sing my song
I am delicate but strong

Fish

I push my elbows down
I bring my head back on the ground
I lift my chest up high
I open my heart up wide
I let myself just be
I am swimming in the deep blue sea

Bug

I am a creepy spider or centipede
My hands crawl through my feet
This is how I crawl around
My body balanced in my hands
I can hide in any crack
Beware, I may crawl up your back

Tree

I send my roots into the ground
I grow tall so I can see all around
I gaze at a single spot
Sometimes I waiver at a thought
Then I remember I am balanced and strong
I stretch my branches out long
